Facebook took Inc. on a virtual tour of its new 185,000-square-foot NYC office in Broadway’s historic Wanamaker Building. Designed by famed architect Frank Gehry – the brains behind Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum and Los Angeles’ Disney Concert Hall, to name a few – this unique and trendy space offers a little something for every one of the office’s 500+ employees.
- Open workspaces: Nobody at Facebook – including Mark Zuckerberg – has a private office. Collaborative open spaces lead to creative thinking. Need to concentrate? The “Facebook Library” offers cubby desks and quiet spots.
- Food, coffee, food: Eight “micro-kitchens” dot the space, filled with drinks and snacks. Need something more? Visit a barista station or a full-service dining hall.
- Art and entertainment: Enjoy original art, the building’s vintage design, and game and music rooms where employees can chill out and recharge.
