In her current role, Greenidge manages the marketing efforts for Empire State Realty Trust’s entire portfolio, coordinating marketing materials with the leasing team. She previously served as project marketing manager for Ackman Ziff, where she oversaw the company’s marketing efforts and implemented a marketing campaign for print, online advertising and social media.

Tiffany GreenidgeGreenidge joined NAIOP Northern Virginia in 2011 and transferred to NAIOP New York City when she relocated in 2013. She has been involved in the Developing Leaders programs with both chapters and served as Developing Leaders chair for NAIOP New York City. As the chair, she implemented the chapter’s first mentoring program and has been integral in organizing the annual NAIOP New York City and NAIOP New Jersey Developing Leaders Community Action Day. Greenidge currently serves as secretary of the NAIOP New York City Board of Directors.

NAIOP: What motivated you to get involved in commercial real estate?

Greenidge: A few years after graduating college, a former classmate was working as a marketing director for Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) in one of their shopping centers. She informed me of an opening that piqued my interest. I began as a marketing coordinator assisting with the marketing programs and events as well as supporting the tenants with driving traffic into their stores via the malls website, reward program and holiday productions. Since then, I have spent the past several years overseeing marketing efforts by creating and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, implementing marketing campaigns and ensuring consistency of branding within leasing materials.

NAIOP: What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job?

Greenidge: Working with every department on the development side from asset management, property management, leasing and construction. I get to see both developments and redevelopments from beginning to end.

NAIOP: How has being a member of NAIOP helped your career?

Greenidge: Being a member of NAIOP has taught me the power of building relationships in this business no matter if you’re a broker, owner, financial advisor or marketing professional.

NAIOP: What advice would you offer to other young professionals in commercial real estate?

Greenidge: It’s OK to start at the bottom and work your way up as long as you have a goal in mind. Build relationships early in your career and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
